Founded in 1958, Beijing Aerospace Propulsion Institute [No. 11 Institute of No. 6 Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (Beijing)] is the birthplace of China’s liquid rocket engines (LPRE) with a solid scientific research foundation and corporate cultural heritage. It is supporting the modernization of national defense and the army and the development of China’s aerospace industry with its excellent technology and strong driving force, having developed multiple liquid rocket engines and contributed to a set of key national state-planned programs like “missiles, nuclear bombs, and the artificial satellite”, “the manned space flight project”, “Chang’e lunar exploration project”, etc. It has been recognized as “Major Contributor to National Major Special High-tech Projects”, “Breakthrough Award Winner in Major Special Defense-related Science Projects”, and “Outstanding Contribution Award Winner of Lunar Exploration Programs”.
